Living in a big city like Milan can be tough, especially when you leave behind your network of relationships and the certainties of your hometown. Arriving here often means having few points of reference and learning to be independent. Pensionato Bertoni, however, made me realise that it's still possible to come back from lectures and find someone to share thoughts with, vent your fears or celebrate a success, and ultimately to share yourself and grow together. It's in the commitment to living together that I found friends and the feeling of being at home.

From the very first days I felt at home. The residence offers a welcoming and dynamic environment, with ideal spaces for studying, playing sports and making the most of everyday life, with everything within reach. In the evening we often gather in the kitchen, where a friendly and familiar atmosphere takes shape. It's not just accommodation — it's a real community where you feel part of something.

I arrived at the residence in September 2025 and I'm studying Building Engineering. Even though I've only been part of community life for a few months, I have to say this place has given me an immense amount of positive emotions. Being together with other guys in the same situation is helping me grow a lot in terms of character, and above all it's helping me, day after day, to face life as an out-of-town student as if I were at home, because even in the toughest moments I've always found someone to talk to.

I'm a student at the European Institute of Design, attending the three-year Fashion Design course. I've been living at Pensionato Bertoni for two years now, and the sense of togetherness and support that develops here is something truly important to me. This environment helps make the university experience lighter, more peaceful and enjoyable, both personally and academically.

Moving from a small town in Veneto to a big city like Milan can be scary. It's thanks to the Pensionato that I found a stimulating environment — especially because Don Fabrizio managed to find a common thread among so many young men daunted by the start of their university journey.

When I started looking for accommodation in Milan, I was searching for a flat and hadn't considered student residences. I then discovered Pensionato Bertoni by chance, and the idea of coming here immediately appealed to me. The Pensionato is not just student housing — it's a real home. There is a strong sense of community, both within each floor and across the whole residence. You share the university experience, but also a journey of personal growth that is hard to find elsewhere. I think an experience like this can be truly positive and formative, and I can only recommend it to anyone who wants to enrich themselves and grow beyond the university lecture halls.
